King David School Dads Club

DADS' CLUB

Dads of all King David students are automatically members – so congratulations on being a member or the King David Dads' Club.

Our goals include but are not limited to:

  • Having a good time!
  • Creating a social and business network of active and involved fathers
  • Building a stronger bond with our children
  • Promoting dads’ participation in the classroom
  • Fostering school spirit and building community amongst KDS families
  • Supporting the school through volunteering and fundraising

The most important thing our kids want is our time. So the objective here is not to take too much of your time. We won’t have a lot of meetings, but we will get together to get to know each other better, plan what we want to do, and most of all decide the best way to better our children and support the school.

In order for the Dads’ Club to be successful, especially at a small school such as KDS, we need everyone to be a supporter and participate at some level.  So, what we need now is – YOU!  We need you to get involved.  We need your ideas and preferences of events we should plan.  We need your input on goals, objectives and activities.

In the first year of the Dads' Club, 2008-09, we proudly held the following activities.

  • “Fresh Start” school cleanup – August
  • Sukkot Camp Out – October
  • Kids Voting – November
  • KDS Book Fair night – December
  • “Spring Cleaning” campus projects – March
  • Happy hour and breakfast meetings throughout the year

Please call me to get more involved, ask questions and/or make suggestions.
